LITTLE ROCK, Ark. ? D'Andre Williams hit a jump shot with five seconds remaining to seal Arkansas-Little Rock's 40-38 comeback win over Florida Atlantic Saturday night.
UALR (6-11, 3-0) was down six, 38-32, with 4:26 remaining before sparking an 8-0 run, capped by Williams' game-winning jumper. Williams finished with 14 points. UALR's Chuck Guy turned a rebound into a fast-break layup on the other end to tie the game at 38-all with 49 seconds remaining.
Florida Atlantic (5-11, 1-2) trailed by as many as five in the second half before asserting itself as the front-runner after a put-back layup by Kore White staked the team to a 38-32 lead before the collapse ensued within the game's final five minutes. White led all scorers with 17 points on 7 for 12 shooting.
The game was the lowest-scoring in the seven-year history of the Jack Stephens Center.
