Famed blogger and music enthusiast Perez Hilton will make his triumphant return to the city with the third, Toronto installment of his legendary series, Perez Hilton?s One Night In Toronto. The event will take place in Toronto on June 17th, 2012. This year?s party, set to be one of the biggest yet, will be donating 100% of the ticket sales to MusiCounts, to aid in the charity?s mission of keeping music alive in schools across Canada. The goal of the event is to raise enough money to fully fund two school music programs through the MusiCounts Band Aid grant Program, while enjoying a night of fun, music, and great live entertainment!
Since its debut, Perez Hilton has taken ?One Night In?? across the globe with events in Austin, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and London. Artists that have performed throughout the series have included: Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Courtney Love, Katy Perry, The Ting Tings, Estelle, Kanye West, Mika, Eric Hutchinson, Simple Plan, N.E.R.D., and more.
The MusiCounts Band Aid grants impact young Canadians and support diverse music programs that include concert and jazz bands as well as drum and guitar ensembles. The grants are given to schools with grade ranges of pre-kindergarten to grade 12 urban, rural, remote and First Nations communities from coast to coast. In the 2011-2012 school year, MusiCounts awarded $600,000 through 69 grants, in both $5,000 and $10,000 increments, to 85 schools across Canada. In this year alone, over 15,000 Canadian children will have their lives impacted through these grants.
