Editor, Insurance whether for a home, car or health, is only important when you need it. I can?t think that anyone relishes and opportunity to use any. The options are, you have health care insurance and if you need it, it is there. If you can not afford it on your own, it will now be grouped so you can pay for it. Or, you can choose to remain uninsured.? But, I would like to see that people sign a notorized form for declining insurance. Then if the need arises, hospitals and ambulances, and EMTs can walk away because people made the choice. I feel that people who can get insurance and choose not to, that my obligation to my fellow man is lifted. It is not socialism that everyone has to get health insurance. it is, if we must provide health care to people who won?t pay for it. Check out the GAO website. Look at the national debt. President. Obama has added barely a fraction of the debt we have now. The country could be at full employment if the greed of businesses would hire instead of making everyone work harder and longer and pay huge benefits to executives. Cyndee Gallegos Roy ? ?
